COFFEE PLANTATION 8 HOURS PRIVATE TOUR

How is my private tour? Forty miles south of Bogota, down through the mountains to the tropical vegetation, we find Fusagasugá, 1,700 meters above sea level, with an average temperature of 20 degrees Celsius. The Garden and Coffee Plantation Hacienda Coloma offer a variety of orchids, along with different types of ferns, flowers and other tropical plants. If you want to learn about the fascinating process of growing and producing the world's best coffee, coffee from Colombia, this is the place. Besides a beautiful colonial house in the old style of the coffee region, among beautiful surroundings, you will be able to see the whole process of coffee production, with the guidance of a professional grower. The tour begins with the seed of the coffee plant, then we cross a well-developed Arabian shade coffee plantation where, among beautiful orchids, will see the many varieties of coffee available in Colombia. The more traditional, handcrafted and hand to pick each grain of the harvest processing, washing and drying of grains, mechanical or sun, takes place in the mill. You will learn to thresh the outer layer of coffee beans with your own hands. Finally, you can see the tan, which is the final, critical step that determines the quality of coffee: a slow process that gives coffee its color, aroma and flavor. A cup of hot coffee will be waiting for you at the end. After the tour, we visit the market in Fusagasugá, very colorful, with its wide variety of tropical fruits and flowers of the region. Bogota Henry Tours GUATAVITA SACRED LAKE 7 HOURS

GUATAVITA SACRED LAKE 7 HOURS

How is my private tour? The ritual center and sacred lake of the Muisca Indians, Lake of Guatavita, is where the myth of Eldorado took place before the Spaniards arrived. It was here that the Muisca Chief, coated with gold dust, would throw precious offerings into the lake from his ceremonial raft and then plunge himself in the waters to obtain god-like power. To get the lake, is necessary to hike along a path about five km. on a very scenic landscape. Afterwards, we will visit the town New Guatavita, built in 1960 when the old colonial town of Guatavita was flooded by the waters of a hydroelectric reservoir, the Dam of Tominé. The New Guatavita is a very interesting mixture because of the combination of modern and Spanish styles of architecture.   *** TOUR AVAILABLE FROM TUESDAY TO SUNDAY  *** Subject to availability.   PAX 1 2 3 4 5+ Price per Pax US$ 210 129 103 89 INFO   IT INCLUDES: Coffee break Park Laguna de Guatavita fee Lunch in a typical restaurant Water bottle Exclusive transportation by private car Professional tour  guide English / Spanish ** Free: Colombian Music Album ** IT DOES NOT INCLUDE: Other expenses not specified   Request a detailed budget indicating: Nationality Date of service Where would you like to go? How is my private tour? It is truly fascinating this place, where the birds are free! They live in the forest and come to the garden to feed themselves! And dozens of them arrive! One can sit by the garden and if you do not make much noise, hummingbirds will fly a few inches from you! It's a magical moment! You can be in the garden for up to three hours or tour the grounds of the property. There is also a small craft shop with objects, T-shirts and other items, all related to hummingbirds. You can take pictures or videos a few inches away. It is a real privilege to feel surrounded by these tiny beings, iridescent colours, flying around! The hummingbird is the smallest bird on the planet: some species can measure less than 40 millimeters! They are animals with flashy plumages ranging from metallic green to bright red, blue, emerald green, yellow ... In many prehispanic cultures have been subject of legends and traditions, as in Mayan mythology or the Nazca lines. It is considered a bird of good fortune, and in its colours and the joy of its flight is reflected happiness! In each geographical area, in each climate there are varied species, with significant differences between them. Near Bogota, in the high Andes of Colombia, in the middle of a spectacular landscape at 3,000 meters above sea level (9,000 feet), there is this incomparable place! The visit is complemented by explanations, traditions, myths and legends related to these birds. Later we go new Guatavita, a beautiful town on the banks of the Dam of Tominé.
